Restore Image of WXP?

My install of Vista beta 2 in a dual-boot setup was successful but I was unable to access the Internet or my LAN. Every time I tried to do anything concerning network, the program froze. After trying everything I could think of, I realized that my Ethernet adapter (3Com 3C905C-TX) was not recognized by Vista. I replaced it with a Linksys LNE TX100 but the problem persists. From earlier posts in the newsgroups, the Linksys adapter should have been recognized. Now I think I probably did something wrong in my attempts to get the original 3Com adapter to work. Did anyone else have any problems logging onto the Internet?

I have an image of my Windows XP setup prior to the installation of Vista. If I restore the image to C:\ and reformat the Vista partition, will I be able to reboot to XP and reinstall Vista? In other words, does the Vista installation make any changes to the C: drive that can't be undone by restoring the image?

(WXP is my default boot option).

A clean instlalation of XP is required. If this was your primary computer and you did not set up a dual boot scenario using a second hard drive or partition then you were not following the urgent warnings posted by Microsoft right on the Vista site.

Please note, it is a dual-boot setup. WXP is on Drive C and Vista is on Drive F.
The image is of Drive C prior to the installation of Vista.

Barring a corrupt image and acts of God and such, and assuming you have the necessary skills and tools, yeah, should work.
